What is kinesiology?
Kinesiology is a non-intrusive
method of assessing the function of the various energy systems of the body. It was discovered by dr. George Goodheart
an eminent chiropractor in the USA back in 1964.
A range of different muscles throughout
the body are isolated and then pressure is applied to assess the strength of that individual muscle. Each muscle relates to
a corresponding meridian within the body and each meridian has typical imbalances which can affect it.
Weaknesses
in an energy flow can lead to dis-ease or a lack of well being within the body.
By assessing
the strength or weakness of energy flow in the body, a therapist may then be able to suggest ways of re-balancing the system.
Kinesiology is used by many chiropractors, osteopaths and physiotherapists as a tool to assist them
in their practices.
