Communication

All communication with Philippa Short at Animal Friend is done via email, not via Facebook or any other media and there is no phone number associated with this business.

Cancellation Policy

 All lessons and services need to be booked and paid for up front. There is a strict 48 hour cancellation policy on all 121 lessons.

You cannot cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of the start of your booked lesson,  if you need to then that lesson will be forfeited. Cancellations must be received in writing via email.  In extenuating circumstances a refund may be considered but any refunds are strictly at the discretion of Philippa Short

If Philippa Short has to cancel your lesson then of course the lesson will be rescheduled.

If  a package of lessons is cancelled then all lessons that have been taken will be charged at the individual price of a one off one lesson ie £65 each.

Equipment

Please note Philippa Short does not endorse Prong Collars, Choke Chains, Slip Leads or Flexi Leads to be worn on dogs.

I advise that you consider a y front fitting harness with a front ring attachment (Perfect Fit Harness, Hurta everyday Y front, TTouch Harness, Mekuti, accompanied by a double clip ended lead like a Halti lead.

 

Suitability of your dog to attend a 121 lesson

If your dog has any known aggression issues towards People or dogs you must inform Philippa Short in Writing

No banned breeds under Section 1 of the Dangerous Dog Act will be accepted for 121'1s  unless they have proof of having been exempted and are adhering to the law. Banned Breeds are the Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentina, Fila Brazilero and Pit Bull types.

 

Photographs and Videos

From time to time I would like to use photographs and/or videos taken in lessons to promote Animal Friend on social media and to be used on the Animal Friend website. Please let me know if you’d rather I didn’t do this.

Philippa will take every care to ensure the safety of you and your dog while training with her. However, she will take no responsibility for any injury to you or your dog, or any illness or disease that may be contracted by yourself or your dog at any of the training venues including the car parks.
